Sensation / private bareboat charter

All rates are in New Zealand dollars, per day for the yacht. Sailing experience and a sailing résumé are required before booking.

$1,000 refundable bond

Applies to every charter, subject to the yacht’s condition on return and the hire agreement.

$30 linen hire / set

Pillow cases, sheets and duvet covers. Choose how many sets your crew needs.

$10 SUP hire / day

Add a stand-up paddleboard for the full length of your charter.

What is the minimum charter length?

Peak season has a seven-day minimum, and other seasons have a five-day minimum. Please contact us to discuss shorter charters or other options.

When do we pay?

The published hire terms require a 25% deposit at reservation, with the balance due 30 days before the charter starts. Read the full terms for payment and cancellation conditions.

Are fuel and cleaning included?

Running expenses are the hirer’s responsibility. Return the yacht refuelled and cleaned to the agreed standard. The terms set out refuelling and cleaning charges that may apply.

Do you match other charter rates?

Bay Charters’ published offer is to match a quoted rate for a similar bareboat yacht charter in the Bay of Islands. Contact the team with the quote to discuss it.

What happens after I enquire?

Travis and Rachel will discuss your dates, crew and sailing experience with you. An enquiry or cost estimate does not reserve the yacht. Availability and booking arrangements need to be confirmed.
